EAST POINT, Ga. -- The Reinhardt University women's basketball team defeated the host Point University Lady Skyhawks 58-48 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference game at Alumni Hall on Wednesday.

Reinhardt never trailed in the contest and built a 36-17 lead at halftime. The Lady Eagles led by 21 points (38-17) early in the second half before Point cut its deficit to seven (53-46) with 2:50 left.

The winners shot 46.5 percent (20-of-43) from the field while the Lady Skyhawks finished at just 18.8 percent (12-of-64). Reinhardt had 15 assists and six blocked shots, compared to four and one, respectively, for Point. The hosts ended with a slight 40-38 edge in rebounds.

Abling had eight points and two steals, Yarbrough scored seven points, Wilcher collected six points and a game-high three blocked shots, and Tidwell also tallied six points. Starter Jordan Marsh chipped in with eight rebounds and a pair of steals.
