MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Reinhardt College men’s and women’s cross country teams concluded their 2007 seasons on Saturday at the NAIA Region XIII Championships, a meet that also served as the Southern States Athletic Conference Championships. Freshman Nicole Davis’ (Woodstock, Ga.) season is not over, however, as she highlighted the day by earning all-region and all-conference honors, and qualifying for the NAIA National Championships.

Behind Davis, the Lady Eagles finished seventh of 11 teams in Region XIII and fifth of six in the SSAC. Individually, Davis ended sixth (of 83 runners) in the region and fifth (of 51) in the conference with a 5K time of 20:16.02. Davis will compete in the national meet on Nov. 17 in Kenosha, Wis.

Reinhardt’s men’s team came in tied for eighth of 10 squads in the region and fourth of five in the SSAC. Leading the Eagles was sophomore Daniel Sims, who finished 21st (of 83) in Region XIII and 17th (of 48) in the conference by covering the 8K course in a time of 28:39.68.
