WALESKA, Ga. – The Reinhardt College men’s soccer team has earned a berth in the NAIA Region XIII Tournament under Head Coach Dan Farnham. It marks Reinhardt’s first regional bid since 2003.
The No. 5-seeded Eagles will play at Southern States Athletic Conference rival Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., on Wednesday at 7 p.m. With a win over Lee, Reinhardt will advance to take on the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference’s University of Mobile (Ala.), the top seed which is ranked No. 4 in the nation, on Saturday at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central time) on the Rams’ home field. Other teams qualifying for the tournament include No. 2-seed Berry College from the SSAC; No. 3-seed Auburn University Montgomery out of the SSAC; and No. 6-seed William Carey College from the GCAC.
Over the weekend at the SSAC Tournament, the Eagles had two players receive awards from the conference. Junior forward Padraig McDonagh (Drogheda, Ireland) was Reinhardt’s only First Team All-SSAC selection while sophomore forward Spencer Davidson (Tucker, Ga.) was chosen to the second team.
