MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – In a Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal matchup on Friday afternoon, the No. 4-seed Reinhardt College men’s soccer squad lost 6-0 to the host and top-seeded Berry College Vikings, who are ranked No. 7 nationally in the NAIA. Reinhardt will now wait to find out if it will be offered an invitation to the NAIA Region XIII Tournament.

In the 28^th minute, Berry began the scoring with a penalty kick goal and increased its lead to 2-0 with another goal less than six minutes later. The Vikings’ third goal came in the 41^st minute, making the score 3-0 at halftime. The hosts made it a four-goal advantage with another score in the 49^th minute before tacking on two more goals late in the contest in the 84^th and 90^th minutes.

The Eagles are now 10-7 overall while Berry improves to 14-2.
