WALESKA, Ga. -- The Reinhardt University women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Andy Kaplan and assistant coach Stephen Weiss, recently took a preseason trip to Orlando, Fla., in preparation for its 2010 campaign.
Reinhardt's women's soccer squad stayed in Orlando during the first week of August. In addition to training for the upcoming season at the beautiful fields of the Space Coast United Soccer Club, members of the program also took part in a number of team-building exercises, and made trips to Sea World and Cocoa Beach.
On the back of the players' practice T-shirts this year is a large "TS" for Think Strong. While in Florida, each player read the book titled THINK STRONG for Athletes by Eric Hoffberg, and came up with a plan to become mentally stronger heading into and throughout the season.
The Lady Eagles open 2010 by hosting a non-conference game against Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. The match is a part of the big "Reinhardt University is Hot News" event taking place on campus.
