GULF SHORES, Ala. -- In its opening contest at the NAIA Softball National Championship tournament on Thursday, the No. 22-ranked Reinhardt University softball team fell 2-0 to the 13th-rated Lee University Lady Flames at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- On Wednesday night at the 2012 NAIA Softball National Championship Banquet inside the Orange Beach Events Center, one Champions of Character honoree was selected from each of the 32 teams that qualified for the national tournament. Chosen as the recipient from the Reinhardt University softball squad was senior Bailey Arnaud.

WALESKA, Ga. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 159-player field for the 61st Annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championships, and Reinhardt University's Zach Lindsey received an at-large bid for the second straight year. One of just five individual at-large selections for the event, the 6-foot-3, 160-pound junior from Kennesaw, Ga., is making his third consecutive trip to the NAIA nationals after Reinhardt qualified as a team in 2010.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Tony Tiller and Reggie Perkins have joined the Reinhardt University athletic department as assistant football coaches under head coach Dr. Danny Cronic. Tiller serves as the defensive backs coach while Perkins is in charge of the offensive line.
